Description: Tori thinks she hears the sound of the dragon eggs hatching. She and the other Slayers are well trained but their group is a man short. They need to find the last Slayer: Ryker Davis.

Tori has a bigger problem. Her nature isn’t all she thinks it is. What if she were meant to protect dragons, not kill them?

Review: I will do my best to avoid spoilers! I loved this book. This one surpassed its predecessor beyond my wildest dreams! CJ Hill’s opening for this book made me grin. She parallels the opening she wrote for the first book with this one. I love when authors pay attention to the way they connect books in their series. Tori is much more interesting in this book.

Even more interesting than Tori is Dirk. I enjoyed that his choices weren’t easy and he wasn’t totally at ease with the decisions he was making. His character has great depth in this book. He’s also my new favorite character.

Slayers #2 introduces several newish characters. Ryker and his cousin Willow were introduced at the end of book one but we get a lot more from them here.

Awesome second book in a series! This has quickly become one of my new favorite series! 4 and a half stars is a huge deal coming from me but this book deserves it. Check them out!
