Description: The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

Review: I did it. I finished Allegiant! Oh. My. God. This book is a seriously emotional roller coaster. I laughed, I cried, I got pissed. And I freaking loved it. This book is exactly what this trilogy needed to end with. I know a lot of people are upset at the character deaths. Honestly I would have been really upset if they had come out of this at the end unscathed. This is war, war means tragedy. Death doesn’t pick and choose, it takes and it leaves behind.

I was really sad that this was what humanity was reduced to, GPs and GDs, that someone could decide whether or not you were a whole person because your genes were a certain way. But at the same time, I loved it as a premise, as something that was obviously wrong and needed a solution. It was one of the better dystopian twists that I’ve seen.

The scientists are some of the more ignorantly despicable characters I have read about in a very long time. Their ignorance leaves you almost sick and I think they make great villain type character. Villains who believe that what they are doing is right are interesting in their motivations and sometime hard to hate. These aren’t hard to hate, though, after all that they’ve done.

There was only one thing that really bothered me throughout the narrative. I thought that Four and Tris’ points of view were far too similar. Sometimes I forgot who was talking and got confused when they would mention each other. There needed to be more difference between them for the dual point of view to work correctly.

Still, I really enjoyed the entire book. I thought the ending on the zip line was the perfect way to go about giving closure. I was extremely impressed with Veronica Roth’s choice to kill who she killed. I give the book a four and a half out of five stars. What did you guys think? What there anything you really liked or really didn’t? Tell me in the comments below!
