Review: This was a really good read with a beautiful cover. Let’s talk about that first. I adore the look of this cover with the white and red against the black. But I won’t rant about the cover for the whole review. There really isn’t too much to say about this book, but I’ll give you what I have.

The main character is fine but it’s really the characters around her that make this book. Every one of them has secrets, secrets that our main character has to endure and realize that Internment is no sanctuary. The brother is one of the most intriguing characters and I am determined to know more about him and his parents.

I was surprised how dark the book got at times, it was not what I expected when I picked it up. When you take a dystopian off of the shelf you expect a certain level of darkness. Some go a bit farther than others, this one included. I can’t wait for the next book to be released and to find out where this book will go.
