Today is an unexpectedly very busy day! However, I have not neglected you. I wanted to show you the two review books I’m reading right now. The first is an offering through Hachette and the second was sent to me from Crown.
Vampires of Manhattan by Melissa de la Cruz is a new adult sequel series to her previous vampire series The Blue Bloods. When I started this book I absolutely hated it with everything I have. Now, after having gotten through the first 30-40 pages of boredom and angry feelings, the book is starting to get better. We shall see if it redeems itself.
City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett is an adult book that I have been anticipating for a while. It’s a sort of sci-fi/fantasy/thriller novel that has me pretty hooked. Even though I’m reading this one slower than usual I’m enjoying it a great deal.
