  1. I first read The Hobbit in either 7th or 8th grade, well, I attempted to read it because my best friend Jennifer was reading it. At that time I was all into the Bronte sisters and Louisa May Alcott. I read the entire book, and loved it, the summer between my junior and senior years. I read it again in college, and we found a condensed version meant for MG readers on a sale table at B&N, so I read that as a chapter a night book with my son. I read the LotR books during my senior high school year, but am sorry to say I haven't read them a second time. I have four or five of the lost stories, history, and short stories books, but haven't read those either. *hangs head in shame* We saw all three of the LotR movies three times each at the theater and I don't know how many more times at home. I haven't seen any of the Hobbit movies yet because my son is in college now and doesn't hang with his mom as much as he used to. I don't have any irl friends or family that want to see them. I feel awful because a high school friend of mine, who lives in New Zealand, has been an extra and a stuntman in them. Thanks for another fine giveaway. 🙂

  2. I read it back in junior high back when the LOTR films came out and interested me. At the time I struggled to understand but read through it along with the trilogy books since I love fantasy and adventure stories. I plan on watching the last film since I'm curious how the book's ending will be portrayed, along with the fate of Tauriel and Radhagast.
