An illustrated guide to the challenges and pleasures of the introverted lifeIntroversion is "in." But there are still many misconceptions about introverts in the world. They're shy. Anti-social. They don't want to have close relationships. They're all cat people. They don't like big parties (okay, that last one might be true). INFJoe, the cartoon persona of artist and introvert Aaron Caycedo-Kimura, is here to set the record straight. Filled with charming comic book style illustrations, this book provides invaluable insights into the introverted life with plenty of humor and wit. Full of moments that will make introverts say, "That's so me!" as well as helpful tips on surviving at parties and in the workplace, Text, Don't Call is the perfect gift for your quiet friends, or the extroverted ones who could use some help to better understand the introverts in their lives.

4 Nuts

Are you an introvert or an extrovert? This corner of the internet is introvert heaven. All the social interaction without the peopling.

If you’re anything like me and hate extended social interaction, spend half your time in your own head, and get overstimulated by the rest of the world this book is for you.

Text Don’t Call is an illustrated guide to being an introvert, with comics so accurate you’ll yell “ME!” as you read along. It’s part book, part comic, mixing the two to create the perfect browsing book. This isn’t the book to change you’re life, it’s more just a fun way to tell the rest of the introverted world that they’re not alone.

I love the art in this book. It’s simple and not very colorful but well drawn and perfect for the context. Some are funny, some are sweet, some are sad, but all are so accurate to my life I’d swear the cartoonist was watching me. Are…they watching me? *looks around*

The best thing about this book though is how it doesn’t make introversion shameful. It celebrates it. It makes you feel like part of a group without pressure. You don’t feel alone while being alone, you don’t feel weird. This book understands your anxieties and your different minded brain and tells you “hey, it’s ok.” These are the kind of books I like to see, and I want more of them.

I highly recommend this book for fellow introverts. It’s a quick read, most of it being set up in comics and such. Tarcher Perigee has a lot of good titles like this so definitely check out their stock if you’re looking for an illustrated browsing book to read.
