When tragedy strikes Michele Windsor’s world, she is forced to uproot her life and move across the country to New York City, to live with the wealthy, aristocratic grandparents she’s never met. In their old Fifth Avenue mansion filled with a century’s worth of family secrets, Michele discovers a diary that hurtles her back in time to the year 1910. There, in the midst of the glamorous Gilded Age, Michele meets the young man with striking blue eyes who has haunted her dreams all her life – a man she always wished was real, but never imagined could actually exist. And she finds herself falling for him, into an otherworldly, time-crossed romance. Michele is soon leading a double life, struggling to balance her contemporary high school world with her escapes into the past. But when she stumbles upon a terrible discovery, she is propelled on a race through history to save the boy she loves – a quest that will determine the fate of both of their lives.

From the Hardcover edition.

4.5 Stars

Normally, books that make my higher-than-four-stars list on reviews are books filled with vampires, demons, etc. Something supernatural in the storyline that makes me latch onto the text and not want to put it down. TIMELESS is a different situation.

TIMELESS is about Michele, a 16 year old girl who has been seeing the same sapphire-eyed boy in her dreams for years. When her mother suddenly dies, Michele is forced to go to New York City and live with the wealthy grandparents that she never knew. Getting used to having servants, going to an uber-elite school, and trying to form a relationship with her grandparents is way too much for Michele on top of her mother’s death. But when she finds a diary of an ancestor that magically transports her back to 1910, she finds herself face to face with the boy from her dreams — the boy with the sapphire eyes. Suddenly, Michele is time-travelling back and forth in time to be with her secret love, but soon is fighting for his very life as events unfold.

What i loved about TIMELESS is it encaputured me fully into the story right from the beginning. The way the story was set up, slowly building to a climax layer by layer, kept me glued to the pages. When i would put the book down, i couldn’t stop thinking about it until i picked it back up again. Michele’s travels in time are rich with the history of the period she’s visiting, from 1910’s Guilded Age of New York, to the Roaring 20’s, and even the “Stiff Upper Lip” of the wartime 1940’s. TIMELESS is a beautiful, breathtaking story about love that transcends the ages, and can live on forever.

Would i recommend TIMELESS to you? I’d recommend it to ANYBODY. It’s a quick, fantastic read that leaves you begging for more!
