I feel like I have a one sided bromance for Quirk Books. They always send me the coolest and most unique books I could think of, and even some I couldn’t think of. So when they asked me if I’d like to have a look at these postcard books I jumped at the chance. And of course I wasn’t disappointed.
Quirk was lovely enough to send me both books, Hugs and Misses: 30 Postcards of Awkward Romance and Stars and Stripes: 30 Postcards of Awkward Americana.
Both of these books are hilarious. If you’re a fan of puns then these books are right up your alley. I particularly enjoyed the Stars and Stripes one because of the history jokes. Yep, I’m a nerd.
Both books are funny but the cards are also really beautifully created. Behind the silhouettes there are gorgeous backgrounds, to the point where I wish that I could have a few without the figures.
These books would make great gifts, or if you decided to take the cards out of the books you could use them to decorate a wall of hilarity. I am certainly giving a set of these things to a loved one for Christmas.
